The 2023/4 Active Looking Project exhibition took place in February at the G12 gallery Krowji.

The project was inspired by taking notice of the world we live in. By actively looking, we can gain the energy to adjust our perspective and create positive change.

The work you see here is about collaboration, with families, young people and adults of all ages, our creative community.

Creativity helps us to live well, to contribute, make connections and look after our cultures. It allows communities to come together, to take part and have a voice. We believe it is vitally important to recognise and protect this as a human right.

We have used a wide variety of ‘lens based’ processes and techniques with over twelve community groups around the county, each understanding that showing up to contribute is brave but always valuable.

We hope you have enjoyed the exhibition and come along to join us at one of our meet ups or online.

Video and film making with Active Looking Project partners, developing the skills in grass roots organisations to tell their story.
